Tsurugaoka Hachimangu (鶴岡八幡宮・つるがおかはちまんぐう)

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu is a representative shrine of Kamakura. It has been a symbol of Kamakura for a very long time. It was founded in 1063 on another site by Yoriyoshi Minamoto, and it was moved to its current location in 1191. Walking towards Kamakura station you’ll pass Komachi Dori which is local shopping street. There are many souvenir stores and food shops on both sides where you can walk and eat.
